The Laird research group at Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to support data analysis, application development, and research objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Advancing capabilities in optimization-based conceptual design for new process development and improved process understanding.
  • Development of open-source tools for training and optimization of machine learning surrogates.
  • Interacting with multiple faculty members within the department, as well as industrial and federal project sponsors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
