What types of projects and tasks will I typically work on as a Post Production Intern?

As a Post Production Intern, you can expect to assist with a range of tasks such as organizing and managing digital assets, creating rough cuts, syncing audio and video, and preparing content for final review. You may also have the opportunity to work on color correction, basic editing, and adding simple effects under the supervision of experienced editors. Interns often support the workflow by assisting with file exports, transcoding, and quality checks, all while learning industry-standard software and best practices. This hands-on experience will give you valuable insight into the collaborative nature of post production and help you build foundational skills for a career in the field.

Is it possible to get a job after an internship?

A post production internship can often lead to full-time employment if the intern demonstrates strong skills in editing, color correction, and familiarity with industry-standard software. Employers may consider interns for entry-level roles or recommend them for other opportunities based on performance and networking during the internship. However, securing a job depends on the company's needs and the intern's qualifications.
