Job Description:

Job Purpose

The installation supervisor is responsible for ensuring each customer receives an HVAC system installation that meets or exceeds Randazzo standards. This role mentors and develops installation team members, ensures installation quality and safety standards, and supports department growth and operational success. This position functions as a working supervisor over the same crew as the reporting manager, incorporating leadership and quality assurance activities into active field installation work.

Field Presence:

  • Complete at least one customer satisfaction/quality assurance site visit a day
  • Build a training rapport with installation technicians
  • Use each Quality Assurance visit to mentor and teach install technician, guaranteeing Randazzo standards
  • Communicate field expectations for technician development
  • Ensure uniformity across jobsites to limit variance in customer experience
  • Submit SAD forms as needed
  • Record other departmental improvements (shop stock, metal issues, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to truck stock and cleanliness guidelines presented to lead installers
  • Assist sales with specialty job planning
  • Assist install team in executing specialty jobs
  • Respond promptly to customer emergencies

Office Presence

  • Perform post-installation spot check on prior day jobs, reviewing photos and labor used
  • Answer installation questions in the back shop before installers leave for the day
  • Coordinate with management team to ensure standards are up-to-date and applicable to current field situations
  • Cover for direct manager in times of high volume, emergency, and PTO (answering phone calls, handling customer issues, approving times in Workday)
  • Provide input on technician reviews and progress reports

Qualifications

Education & experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years minimum as HVAC install technician at Randazzo/Hager Fox
  • EPA certification required

  • Service Titan proficiency required
  • Basic Microsoft office knowledge required
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Basic math competency required
  • Strong organization & problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator with strong customer service skills

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching

  • Work may occur on roofs, in attics, basements, and crawl spaces
  • Requires climbing ladders
