Job Summary: Serves at catered meals, and cleans following. Completes all tasks within designated timeframe. Works variable hours. Requisition and stores all supplies. Maintains equipment, supplies and prep areas.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid Oklahoma Food Handler's permit.
Work Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Independently serves and cleans up catered meals for administrative staff, outside agencies, physicians, hospital employees and sisters following predetermined protocol and proper etiquette. Always follow predetermined protocol or special instructions. Always demonstrates proper etiquette, is courteous and promotes positive customer relations. All clean up is completed by end of shift. Works variable hours as the schedule of event dictates. Works flexible schedule as determined by management. Requisitions and stores all supplies for both regular and special events. Maintains accurate records of all foods used for costing purposes. Needed supplies are on hand, no rush orders necessary. Able to adjust inventory and items served to accommodate over for forecasted events. Maintains equipment, supplies and prep area according to acceptable sanitation and safety standards. Practices good body mechanics and universal precautions. Equipment and supplies are cleaned, and any needed repairs reported immediately. Passes daily visual sanitation/safety check by Catering Manager for equipment work area. Attends all department in-services regarding safety, sanitation. Temperature of refrigeration units and food are taken and recorded according to standards. Problems reported immediately. No incidents are written regarding personal injury.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.
Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
