Job description

S&L Hospitality, along with this location, is currently accepting resumes for a Hotel Breakfast Attendant.

Ideal candidates for this role with have prior customer service experience, previous food handling or service experience,, the ability to provide exceptional service, the ability to work independently, and the ability to problem solve. This position has the potential to be scheduled between the hours of 5am and 11am, availability for weekends and holidays is required.ย 

Key Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Successful history in the food service industry or related customer service experience.
  • Understanding of how to use basic kitchen equipmentย 
  • Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
  • Task-driven individual who is able to focus on the guest, ensuring complete satisfaction with each transaction/interaction.
  • Ability to maintain a composed, gracious and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work with little supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents the first point of contact with guests as they enter and enjoy the public breakfast area.
  • Acts as the information liaison for the property and guests using all communication avenues.ย 
  • Serve as point of contact to share information regarding the hotel, area attractions, and events.ย 
  • Prepare and set up breakfast items following all food handling preparation guidelines to ensure safety and quality.
  • Strictly adhere to food handling policies and local health laws to maintain a clean and compliant food service area.
  • Monitor food inventory and replenish breakfast items promptly to ensure continuous availability.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area throughout the service period.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, addressing their needs, and responding promptly to inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, front desk,ย  and housekeeping staff to ensure a seamless breakfast experience for all guests.

Physical Requirements may include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Exposure to indoor/outdoor temperatures with the location of the front desk near the main entrance.
  • Exposure to various noises and volumes with regular use of computers, telephone, printer/scanners, radios and TVs near the lobby.

Must be able to successfully pass a background check as it relates to the job responsibilities for this position.
