We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager for our Northwest Region. This is for our Foodservice Division.

This candidate should reside in the Northwest Region to include the States of: WA, OR, ID, UT, MT, CO, AK

Job Description

This position reports to the Director of Sales for the respective market area.

Product Knowledge – Become a product specialist of the Ole Mexican Tortillas, Chips, Cheese, Crema and Chorizo to include menu application and merchandising. BAK-EZ products as well.

Broker Management – Manage assigned brokers to meet OLE sales growth targets by motivating, conducting product training, general day-to-day accountability, forms, sampling, operator deviations, Foodshows, ride-withs, distributor relationships, communication and new item sales development.

Distributor Support – Engage and grow distributor sales support of Ole Mexican sales growth through relationship management, key operator calls, sales meetings, district meetings, overall communication and follow up.

Operators Calls – Identify and target key LLO’s within the marketplace to ensure distributor growth through new sales, while also managing existing Ole Mexican LLO relationships and further product placement. Identify menu trends, provide menu consultation and utilize CRM tools.

Competitive Analysis – Identify key competitors. Gather POS, pricing and competitive product knowledge to assist in carving share through strategic price deviation and quality/value propositions. Communicate and convey learning to broker and Ole field sales on an as needed basis.

Personal Growth – Identify with direct manager (early on) areas in which to demonstrate personal growth. Measure and improve.

Communication - Utilize phone, TEAMS and lap top tools to maximize efficient use of time while meeting or exceeding customer expectations of opportunity follow up. Prepare for weekly meeting with Director of Sales to review market and plan for growth. Provide weekly report of “activities and results” to include weekly planner of upcoming activities and events. Ensure communications are effective, clear and informative. Utilize effective file management within laptop.

Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English preferred)

Note: The position responsibilities are fluid and ever changing.

National Accounts / Regional Accounts / GPO’s

Where assigned the lead responsibility for account contact the RSM will be effective in developing a plan for growth through communication, frequent customer interactions, product presentations, etc. Olé RSM will have complete responsibility on assigned accounts but communicate to Director of National Accounts (and their respective manager) updates as appropriate.

Where you are not the lead contact, support the designated Olé team member in local execution and support as requested. (I.e. Premier, etc.)

TRADE MANAGEMENT

Be an effective manager of Olé Trade Dollars. Blacksmith deals entered on time and updated (rolled over). Manage Blacksmith claims, and assist Deduction Manager and Accounts Receivables as needed. Be strategic in trade spend by knowing competitive pricing and competitive trade spend levels.

Personal Attributes/Skills:

Person needs to be “detail orientated”, able to manage multiple projects both internally/externally. Strong communication skills.

Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel with ability to utilize formulas, vlookups, pivot tables and other functionality in Excel to analyze and convey data.

Analytical Skills a huge need.

Overnight travel is extensive in this 5-7 state area with approx. three nights per week travel generally.

Ability to work with Ole internal cross functional teams or AR/AP/Logistics/CS teams as well as individual project management from a distance. Ability to meet “time sensitive deadlines” for external and internal customers a minimum. Company seeks a “results orientated person”. Works well in team environments, while also being a self-starter.

Preference will be given to bi-lingual candidates (Spanish/English) and with those who have previous foodservice experience via distribution, manufacturing or foodservice broker sales.
