Job description

Some engineers write code. Others build products that people rely on every single day. This is your chance to do the latter. You'll own ideas from concept to launch, creating experiences that reach millions while seeing your work come to life without layers of bureaucracy. Every feature you build becomes your legacy. Every improvement creates momentum. Every release makes a real difference. You'll help reshape the future of intelligent digital products by combining creativity, craftsmanship, and modern AI-powered development into software that continuously raises the standard. Here, ownership isn't promised-it is expected. You'll solve meaningful problems, ship quickly, and watch your decisions directly improve the experience of customers around the world. You'll work beside experienced builders who value trust, action, and thoughtful engineering over meetings and process. This is the kind of role engineers remember because they truly own what they create. Build boldly. Ship confidently. Leave every system better than you found it.
ROLE SNAPSHOT
  • Pay: $120,000 to $155,000 annually
  • Location/Schedule: Remote or On-site, Full-Time
  • Purpose: Build, deploy, and own production web applications across the full technology stack while maintaining reliable infrastructure and modern engineering practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
  • Build responsive front-end interfaces and scalable back-end services.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and database models.
  • Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and improve automated deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
  • Maintain security, backups, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to ship production-ready features.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years building production web applications.
  • Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience building server-side applications and REST APIs.
  • SQL database design and development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Linux administration, Docker, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Production monitoring, performance tuning, and security fundamentals.
  • Comfortable owning projects independently from beginning to end.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High-traffic web application experience.
  • E-commerce or content platform experience.
  • Progressive Web Apps.
  • Kubernetes or container orchestration.
  • CDN and caching technologies.
  • Analytics or data pipeline exposure.
  • Strong experience using AI coding assistants.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • High ownership with minimal bureaucracy.
  • Modern engineering practices.
  • Small senior engineering team.
  • AI-first development environment.
  • Opportunities to influence architecture and engineering direction.
  • Meaningful product ownership from day one.

Honest Challenge
This role is built for engineers who enjoy owning the entire product lifecycle. If you prefer narrowly defined responsibilities or highly specialized work with constant direction, this position likely won't be the right fit.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) experience, including industry or specific experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and/or other applicable laws.
