Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer/DesignerLocation is onsite in Springfield, VA; Tampa, FL; or Seven Valleys, PA.  This is not a remote or hybrid position.PD Power Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer responsible for designing electrical and control systems for electrical power generation and distribution systems and equipment. The candidate will work closely with Mechanical Designers and Engineers in integrating controls into the electrical systems. The candidate must be familiar with electrical power generation, distribution, and various control systems to include PLCs, generator digital controls, and human machine interfaces. Experience with 2D CAD is required, experience with 3D CAD is desirable. The position requires close teamwork with other employees in engineering as well as support, both within the company and with subcontractors.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPrepare, edit and maintain electrical schematics, panel diagrams, cable assembles, and wiring drawings using AutoCAD software.Create, maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.Be able to source components based upon customer requirements and specifications.Confer with engineering team and suppliers/vendors to develop the product.Experience and EducationEducation: 4-year Electrical Engineering degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience.
