Industrial Engineer

Schedule: 2:00 PM โ€“ 11:00 PM

Location: St. Petersburg

Compensation: $45โ€“$60/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Engineer II will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and implementing production processes and systems to increase efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and control costs. This position will work closely with operations and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, facility planning, process optimization, and overall operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, experience with Industrial Engineering principles, and a proven ability to implement process improvements in a manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in projects designed to eliminate waste and improve production efficiency.
  • Apply Industrial Engineering methodologies to evaluate and improve processes.
  • Support capital equipment evaluations, capacity studies, facility layouts, workstation design, tooling, and standard work.
  • Develop time standards and conduct time studies for manufacturing processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and report operational and Industrial Engineering metrics.
  • Coordinate facility layouts, equipment moves, and production-area changes.
  • Collect and validate production and engineering data to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Gather operational data to support cost estimates and project proposals.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, measurements, and engineering data.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and overall process performance.
  • Assist with implementation and management of continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to other members of the engineering team.
  • Promote standardization of processes and engineering practices throughout the facility.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, manufacturing, engineering, and other departments.
  • Follow all applicable company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and security standards.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with work measurement, time studies, process mapping, facility layout, and workstation design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
