The ServiceNow Portal Developer job involves designing, building, and customizing ServiceNow service portals and Now Experience components using web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform's Service Portal and Now Experience frameworks. Key responsibilities include developing custom widgets and pages, integrating backend workflows, ensuring responsive and accessible designs, optimizing portal performance, and collaborating with UI/UX designers and business analysts to translate requirements into user-friendly solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Portal and Widget Development: Design and build custom service portal pages and reusable widgets using the Service Portal and Now Experience framework.
• UI/UX Implementation: Create user-friendly and intuitive interfaces, aligning them with provided designs and ensuring responsiveness across various browsers and devices.
• Technical Skills: Utilize web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Bootstrap, React, or Angular to develop portal features and components.
• Backend Integration: Integrate custom widgets and pages with backend ServiceNow workflows and external systems using APIs.
• Performance and Optimization: Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot UI-related issues, and ensure portals are optimized for speed and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, administrators, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Documentation and Testing: Create code documentation, user guides, and write Automated Test Framework (ATF) tests to ensure code quality.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 10 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
• Proven experience in ServiceNow portal development.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and web accessibility standards.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow Service Portal and Now Experience frameworks.
• Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React, or Angular.
• Familiarity with integrating backend workflows and APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of ServiceNow architecture and best practices.
