Job description

Objective: Providing a safe, clean Aquatic area for our members.
Reports to: Aquatic Manager (AM)
Criteria:
Life Guard Certification
CPR and AED Certification
Proficient oral, written, and technology communication (email/text) skills
As an AFF team member, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • To Get & Keep Members.
  • Perform duties according to the companys Mission, Vision, Pillars of Success, Service Standards, and Business philosophy, and continually provide optimal performance for net member growth, retention, and club profitability.

  • Provide the highest quality of customer service to all members by greeting them with a welcoming, friendly, energetic, and positive attitude at all times. Use members names as often as possible.

  • Embrace and follow the company Service Standards, the guidelines outlined in the AFF Training and Policy Manuals, and any applicable department-specific team handbooks.

  • Know the clubs emergency response protocol and be prepared to act. Exercise sound judgment with safety as a priority.

  • Arrive to work 10 minutes early. Wear department-specific uniform.

  • Actively participate in all department and club meetings.

  • Be a team player by contributing to both club and organizational goals.

  • Maintain open and honest communication with the team, partnering together as fitness professionals.

As a Pool Monitor, additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Align with company and industry Life Guard guidelines for a safe environment.

  • Stay active and current with AFF-approved certifications, including CPR/AED and specialty certifications for your programs. Provide current copies of all approved instructor certifications to the AM.

  • Enforce the rules of the Aquatic area while maintaining the utmost customer service and providing a fun, pleasant experience for members.

  • Test and record pool chemistry and report any problems/concerns to management.

  • Provide appropriate instruction as well as a fun, safe environment for organized pool activities.

  • Inform the AM of any equipment needs or malfunctions.
  • Wear appropriate, safe attire.

  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
