Primary Role
The Mold Manager leads the Mold department teams at one of our fiberglass pool plants. They manage the daily maintenance schedule, ensure quality products are built, and coordinate down time of Molds with the leadership team. The Mold Manager supports strong employee culture through the reinforcement of Latham's Core Values.
Responsibilities:
  1. Follow company safety policies and programs to promote a safety-first culture throughout the facility
  2. Responsible for mold maintenance and uptime of Molds to ensure on time delivery while minimizing overtime
  3. Lead and direct the team responsible for mold quality in the Latham Fiberglass plant
  4. Coordinate with production scheduler to ensure molds are available when needed and downtime is accounted for
  5. Ensure feedback from demolding and detailing teams on mold quality are relayed to mold shop
  6. Maintain a high level of quality by ensuring regular inspections of pools and potential defects caused by Molds
  7. Coordinate supplies and tools needed for mold maintenance are planned with purchasing
  8. Understand and train teams on Latham SOP related to Mold Maintenance
  9. Root cause mold defects and measurements when requested by leadership team
  10. Report out weekly mold maintenance progress to Fiberglass leadership team
  11. Track preventative maintenance schedules of equipment in shop and ensure equipment is serviced in accordance with standards
  12. Communicate job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  13. Lead employee development in the mold shop and identify/train future mold shop talent with Production Manager
  14. Lead continuous improvement discussions with mold maintenance team.
  15. Evaluate new materials and methods in coordination with Fiberglass Engineering and Process leaders
  16. Maintain related IFS system updates for the mold maintenance department
  17. ERP System:
    • Shipment ID created in a timely manner
    • Work with AR to resolve orders in blocked status
    • Confirmation of delivery date to Dealer base
    • Uploading of Documents into System for compliance regulations.
    • Execute material requisitions as needed.
  18. Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Composites Manufacturing or equivalent preferred.
  • Four to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Composite certificates or licenses are preferred but not necessary if they are experienced in composites/fiberglass manufacturing.
  • Ability to work greater than 40 hours/week when necessary and be open to flexible schedule.
