POSITION

Pool Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION The Pool Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pool facility to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for guests and members. This position supervises pool attendants, enforces safety regulations, coordinates daily operations, and provides exceptional guest service. The Pool Supervisor ensures that all pool areas are maintained according to company standards, health regulations, and safety guidelines.

REPORTS TO Resort Entertainment & Recreation Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily pool operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure the pool deck, lounge areas, and surrounding facilities are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Monitor pool conditions and ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate pool setup, including chairs, umbrellas, towels, and recreational equipment.

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise and support pool attendants during shifts.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to team members.
  • Monitor employee performance and report issues to management as needed.

Guest Service

  • Greet guests and members and ensure a positive and welcoming pool experience.
  • Address guest concerns, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure pool rules are communicated and enforced consistently.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed and that staff remain vigilant while on duty.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with management when necessary.
  • Ensure staff certifications (CPR, First Aid) remain current.
  • Conduct routine safety checks of the pool area and equipment.

Facility Maintenance

  • Inspect pool furniture, umbrellas, and equipment regularly and report maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate with engineering or maintenance for repairs or operational issues.
  • Monitor towel inventory and other pool supplies.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete daily reports, incident reports, and operational checklists.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and managing pool inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in aquatics, recreation, hospitality, or pool operations preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Certifications
