Position Summary
The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the pool area of a high-quality apartment community.ย This position ensures pool rules are followed, the pool facilities are clean, and the overall appearance of the pool and surrounding areas align with company expectations.ย This is a part-time seasonal position beginning the last week of May and running through the first weekend in September.ย Opportunities areย available at properties throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania including the following locations:

Essential Job Functions
- Ensures all pool visitors are following pool rules and have authorized access
- Responsible for the upkeep of the pool, including vacuuming and cleaning
- Tests pool chemical levels, logs the results, and treats pool according to test results
- Maintains appearance and cleanliness of bathrooms and areas surrounding the pool, including the replenishment of supplies and the set-up of chairs
- Removes trash from trash bins on a daily basis
- Maintains landscaping surrounding the pool area by pulling weeds, redistributing mulch, etc.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as required

Required Qualifications
Education, Training and or/ Experience
ย
Less than high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with relevant experience or training on facilities upkeep.

Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Characteristics
ย
- Knowledgeable in the safe use of general pool equipment and cleaning supplies
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with staff members and tenants
- Displays a positive, friendly and professional attitude with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to work individually and as a part of a cohesive team

Physical Demands
The nature of work requires an ability to communicate and exchange information and operate general pool equipment and cleaning supplies. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time as well as be on oneโs feet, climb and balance, bend, kneel, and reach, as well as an ability to lift and move materials or equipment up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a general office environment and apartment community.ย Individuals will be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet, warm and cold environments
