Summary Description:
As a division of TOPPAN Packaging Americas - Trident create digital packaging assets for some of the most recognisable brands in the world. Our dynamic, innovative team works with FMCG brands to prepare packaging artworks for mass print production. A digitally focused company, we continuously strive to stay at the forefront of our field, designing and developing our own cutting-edge technologies and powerful systems. This ensures that we are constantly driving our business forward and offering our customers the highest quality service, whether this is retouching media ready for print or crafting a 3D image for E-
commerce sites.
The Senior Artworker role is responsible for producing digital artworks, reprographics and colour separations for all print disciplines.
What you'll be doing:
Artwork Production
  • Builds artwork files in adherence with the business' standard working practices & client's brand rules.
  • Ensures Right First Time quality performance is achieved.
  • Collaborates with multiple functions to service the client.
  • Creates print trial files and carries out colour retouching/colour correction for all print disciplines.

Brand Guardianship
  • Owns the brand guidelines; including their creation, amendment and periodical review.
  • Ensures brand consistency is maintained throughout the full project range across all production locations.

Project Management
  • Represents the artwork production team in the planning of projects.
  • Leads the artist team in the completion of projects from receipt of brief to delivery of data within contractual KPI.

Continuous Improvement
  • Seeks ways to optimise process to improve quality and delivery.
  • Promotes best practice and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Leads and supports with production initiatives.
  • Participates in root cause and corrective action investigations.
  • Leads the artist team with the introduction of technology changes from User Acceptance Testing to deployment.

Coaching & Development
  • Guides and advises less experienced members of the team.
  • Identifies and discusses issues with relevant team members.

Client Interaction
  • Delivers customer demonstrations.
  • Participates in client meetings.
  • Participates in the implementation of new business.

This is a HYBRID position located out of our Cincinnati OH Office
We'd love to hear from you if:
  • Experience in packaging artwork production.
  • Use of software applications used in artwork packaging production such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office.
  • Detailed understanding of print processes and reprographics application.
  • Ability to adapt a design to different components / sizes in keeping with design intent.
  • Ability to perform colour retouching for multiple print disciplines.
    • Making a visual change to images (cosmetic retouching).
    • Colour retouching/correction with special colours (or Extended Colour Gamut), considering the impact of screen angles.
    • Colour retouching/correction ensuring an image is fit for the flexographic print process.
  • Ability to visually inspect two samples and understand what retouching/corrections are needed to get the closest possible match.
  • Ability to interpret complex guideline documents.
  • Communication skills particularly listening, verbal and written.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Team working skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise.
  • Time Management skills to respond to a dynamic work environment.
