Job description

Position Accountabilities

This position reports directly to assigned Construction Team Leader and is managed by VP of Construction and Construction Team Leaders.

This position is accountable for:

· Perform labor necessary to completing basic residential and commercial pool installations, repairs, and renovations in an efficient and professional manner.

· Willingness to learn and implement evolving pool construction methods and technology.

· Effectively communicating with clients and coworkers.

· Continuously striving for improvement in current position striving to be perceived as “top of industry.”

Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Maintain a valid driver’s license and MVR suitable for insurability, not required but is preferred

General Behavioral Expectations (these apply to all EPS positions)

· Arrive on time and prepared to work, according to Department criteria.

· Respond to customers and coworkers consistently with calmness, focus, and positivity.

· Demonstrate alignment with EPS core values through purposefully living them out according to the company’s written and verbal Values Statements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (for this specific position)

· Develop skills to operate a skid loader and mini excavator proficiently and safely.

· Work towards the ability to dig a flat plane within +/-2” with same equipment.

· Assist in grading, forming, pouring, and finishing basic flatwork.

· Assist in installation of PVC plumbing for swimming pools.

· Install vinyl liner pool panels.

· Install Pool Krete.

· Install vinyl liners.

· Basic proficiency of masonry unit construction

Duties & Responsibilities (for this specific position)

· Keep shop area clean, organized, and stocked.

· Keep assigned vehicles clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate supplies and tools. Maintain and clean construction equipment and trailers.

· Maintain jobsite safety during all phases including transport, site work, equipment operation, pool chemicals, electrical, and underground utilities.

· Maintain good working relationship with subcontractors and suppliers.

· Daily Routine:

o Meet with supervisor for job plans reviews and daily work assignments.

o Review job plans and work assignments for necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.

o Perform jobsite walk through with supervisor to establish layout, elevations, and project details.

o Perform labor for all phases of Vinyl liner pool installations.

o Review work daily for quality control.

o Review work daily and consult with supervisor for next steps and scheduling.

o Report any issues regarding project, employees, equipment/tools, or clients to supervisor in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

· Able to stand, sit, kneel, and walk as needed during a shift.

· Able to safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

· Able to work in all weather conditions.
