The Project Manager - Pool Construction is responsible for planning, overseeing, and delivering projects within the specified time, budget, and scope. They collaborate with superintendents, project coordinators and foreman to ensure that project objectives align with customer expectations. A career with purpose.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Identify and allocate resources needed for project success.

Design Interpretation

  • Interpret and work from pool design plans and specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers, superintendents, and sales/design consultants to ensure accurate implementation of the pool design.

Site Assessment

  • Evaluate and assess the proposed site for pool installation during Preconstruction.
  • Consider factors such as soil conditions, drainage, elevation, and access to utilities.
  • Utilize the companyโ€™s Preconstruction worksheet for each meeting.

Material Selection

  • Select and order appropriate materials for pool construction on the day of excavation.
  • Ensure that materials meet quality standards and are within the budgeted cost.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Budget and Cost Control

  • Manage project budgets in JobTread.
  • Create all change orders after sales hand off in JobTread.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and communicate with the superintendent.

Quality Assurance

  • Establish and maintain company quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on the construction progress.
  • Address customer concerns or questions regarding the pool construction.
  • Document all instances in JobTread through daily logs.

Project Execution

  • Ensure that project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Update tasks in Job Tread as completed ensuring customers are tagged if applicable.

Communication

  • Attend weekly production meetings prepared to discuss all assigned projects.
  • Communicate effectively with production team, sales staff, and customers.

Closure and Evaluation

  • Conduct project post-mortems to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct a finalization to ensure the completion of the project.
  • Offer the customer pool maintenance services.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within the Pool Industry.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of pool construction materials, equipment, and techniques.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
