Job description

Job Title: Pool Monitor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50/hr
Schedule: Flexible hours
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service toward pool users.
  • Opens pool facilities including removing and replacing pool covers, if any.
  • Responsible for the security of the pool area (i.e. lock doors, etc).
  • Ensures pool equipment is in proper working order and in its place prior to opening the facility.
  • Attentively monitors the pool area for accidents in or out of the water, hazards, debris and trash.
  • Supervise all patrons in and around the pool area.
  • Responsible for the safety of all participants in and about the pool area.
  • Able to make sound judgments in an emergency situation.
  • Able to make sound judgments and decisions involving rules to the pool.
  • Aware and knowledgeable of emergency procedures; including completion of proper documentation.
  • Enforces all pool rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe and clean swimming environment for pool patrons.
  • Ability to initiate and create friendly relationships with pool patrons, guests and staff.
  • Directs the patrolling of the pool and the enforcement of rules and regulations.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the swimming pool.
