Bachelor's degree in Geoscience or related field
Required Related Experience
ArcGIS
Required License/Registration/Certification
Valid driver's license for at least 5 years
Physical Requirements
Standing or sitting for long periods of time. Repetitive computer work. Occasional field work for site visits which require hiking on rough terrain.
Shift
Monday- Friday 8-5pm
Job Summary
The Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS), a publicly supported research center within the University of Kentucky (UK), is recruiting a temporary geoscience data analyst employee. Key position responsibilities include: analyzing and processing geospatial data related to karst and sinkholes, preparing maps and diagrams; and summarizing data analysis results. This position will work with the Hydrogeology and Karst Team to assist in evaluating Kentucky's karst and sinkhole susceptibility and risk. Tasks will also include geological field work and collaboration with other Teams in KGS.
