Job description

Salary: $15.00 / Hour

Position: Business Intelligence Analyst Intern

Reports to:Director of Business Intelligence

Compensation:$15/hour

Classification: Non-Exempt


Summary:Vatic Outsourcing, a growing telecom consulting firm, is seeking an intern for our Business Intelligence team. In this internship, you will develop a proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, improve customer service and analytical skills, and gain knowledge of the telecom industry. At Vatic, we are known for our "White-Glove" care for our clients and this type of support is a skill that can be transferred into any career path. This paid internship will consist of 20-29 hours per week. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience, and for high-performing interns, there may be an opportunity for a full-time role at Vatic.


Required Qualifications:

Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours/week

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

Strong initiative, analytical skills, attention to detail, etc.

Comfortable communicating with clients and vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PowerQuery, VBA Macros)

Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus, but willingness to learn is required

Previous experience in a customer service or data-related role


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Building dashboards and invoice/service trackers in Microsoft Excel to quantify device usage and billing metrics, device inventory, user lists, and an overall ROI for all Vatic services to be presented to the client.

Managing Power BI access updates

Updating internal database information

Communicating with telecom carriers (on the phone and through email/online portals) to make changes, download and track down contracts/invoices, and report data/technical issues

Downloading and utilizing reports from other platforms. Examples include Microsoft Azure, AirWatch, IBM MAAS, Tangoe, Zendesk, and Cyberreef portals and data.

Provide business intelligence related support to internal team members (i.e. fixing broken dashboards, data scrubs, communicating any data/invoice related issues)

Project tracking in Google Drive

Assisting account managers and analysts with various additional projects

Work Environment:This position operates in a professional office environment. You must be able to work in office.
