Job description

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Inventory Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for processing customer shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, assisting with warehouse organization, and providing excellent customer service related to shipping and delivery.

The ideal candidate will be organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse and shipping operations.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesShipping & Order Fulfillment
  • Monitor order fulfillment software to identify orders ready for shipment
  • Verify consumables and products for each order
  • Accurately package, label, and weigh shipments
  • Ensure proper shipping methods and shipping charges are applied
  • Verify all orders for accuracy before generating shipping labels
  • Ensure each shipment includes all required products, labels, packaging materials, and packing slips
  • Coordinate pickups with shipping carriers as needed
  • Communicate with the Order Fulfillment Clerk regarding backordered items
Customer Service
  • Assist customers with shipment questions, delivery dates, and tracking information
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer concerns
  • Work to resolve delivery or shipment-related problems promptly and professionally
Inventory Control
  • Restock shelves and maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Review inventory weekly and replenish stock as needed
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and monthly inventory counts
  • Prepare shipping and inventory reports for management
  • Assist the Receiving Clerk with incoming inventory and related tasks
Warehouse Maintenance & Safety
  • Complete daily warehouse duties and maintenance checklists
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and environmental management guidelines
  • Keep aisles and work areas clear and hazard-free
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in shipping and receiving
  • Experience using bar code scanners, RF scanners, and pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within inventory/shipping systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or social assistance industries
  • Familiarity with shipping software and inventory systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
