Project Manager

The Manufacturing Project Manager leads customer projects from purchase order through final shipment, ensuring on‑time and in‑full (OTIF) delivery. This role manages project timelines while actively coordinating and scheduling manufacturing production, materials, and resources. Serving as the key link between sales, operations, and customers, the role ensures production plans align with commitments and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling (30–40%)

  • Develop, maintain, and execute daily manufacturing production schedules by work center, product, quantities, and due dates
  • Monitor historical and current production performance to forecast future capacity, labor, and production needs
  • Coordinate daily with production leaders to set priorities, sequence work, and ensure customer delivery requirements are met
  • Ensure critical raw materials are ordered, received, and available to support production schedules
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, or material shortages and lead cross‑functional resolution efforts

Project Management (60–70%)

  • Own customer projects from purchase order through final shipment with full accountability for on‑time and in‑full (OTIF) delivery
  • Establish and maintain project records, schedules, and timelines aligned with production capacity, material availability, and customer commitments
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between sales, customers, operations, and logistics throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate production schedules and customer shipments to meet delivery requirements
  • Proactively identify project risks related to schedule, capacity, materials, or scope and implement mitigation plans
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule, or delivery commitments and clearly communicate impacts to stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate backlog, project status, and schedule visibility; communicate status and risks proactively
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure consistent execution standards and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with OTIF, schedule adherence, throughput, and manufacturing performance metrics
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent)
  • Experience driving continuous improvement in project execution, scheduling, or cross‑functional coordination
