About the role
Airo is offering a hands-on internship designed to introduce students to both the management and technical sides of the HVAC and Plumbing industries. Interns will gain exposure to new construction projects as well as service operations, working closely with experienced professionals in the field.
Depending on assignment, interns will report to a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Installer.
What you'll do
Interns will support real project work and may participate in some or all of the following activities:
Project & Site Support
  • Maintain site cleanliness and organize project storage areas
  • Assist with layout tasks
  • Perform quantity take-offs
  • Support punch list activities and project closeout

Coordination & Communication
  • Interface with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Attend weekly progress meetings
  • Assist with coordinating work between owners and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with field project management teams

Documentation & Records
  • Review construction documents and specifications
  • Review revisions, clarifications, and updated drawings
  • Help maintain accurate field records

Quality & Safety
  • Assist with quality control efforts
  • Support safety practices on the jobsite
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support project needs

Qualifications
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Demonstrated interest in the construction, HVAC, or plumbing industries
  • Ability to commute to and from the office or jobsite
  • Must receive approval from the General Contractor for jobsite access
  • Students under 18 must obtain a work permit (state requirements apply)
