Job description

PLTW/Engineering Teacher

John Stark Regional High School seeks a full-time PLTW/Engineering teacher beginning in the fall of 2022. Responsible for providing classroom instruction for Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and pre-engineering courses, the successful candidate will have strong content knowledge and a demonstrated ability to ensure all students acquire the course level objectives set forth in the National PLTW Curriculum. Ideal candidates will be student-centered educators committed to helping students develop self-direction and critical thinking skills through challenging, collaborative tasks. A commitment to STEM education, and an overall passion for project, problem-based learning with real world application, as well as experience with competency-based learning and motivation to collaborate with other teachers are also desired. It would be beneficial to be familiar with CAD Modeling, 3D printing, VEX robotics, programming and CNC Machining.  

Qualified candidates must possess a NH certification, or a Statement of Eligibility (SOE), as a Math, Science, Physics, Industrial Technologies or Engineering certification.

Completion of the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Core Training may be required in the summer and during the year.
