Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Quality Engineer to drive quality assurance strategy for enterprise EDI and API integration platforms. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with ownership of automation architecture, QA governance, stakeholder alignment, and mentoring of distributed QA teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for EDI transaction workflows.
  • Validate inbound and outbound EDI transactions across formats such as X12, EDIFACT, ANSI, XML, JSON, or equivalent formats.
  • Automate UI workflows using Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Develop and execute API automation tests for integration services, middleware, and downstream systems.
  • Define and drive the QA strategy for EDI platforms, integration workflows, and associated enterprise applications.
  • Architect scalable Playwright automation frameworks for UI-driven EDI business processes.
  • Establish API automation standards, reusable libraries, reporting practices, and CI/CD quality gates.
  • Lead automation coverage planning for EDI transaction flows, partner onboarding, mapping validation, and integration checks.
  • Drive shift-left testing practices, risk-based regression planning, and release readiness governance.
  • Review automation design, code quality, framework maintainability, and test coverage across the team.
  • Coordinate with solution architects, development teams, business stakeholders, integration teams, and trading partners.
  • Analyse production or release issues and define preventive and corrective quality measures.
  • Provide QA estimates, status reporting, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to programme stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor QA engineers on EDI testing, Playwright automation, API validation, and quality engineering practices.
