Position Purpose
The Operations Manager for USL League Two will oversee and sustain league day-to-day operations and maintain strong relationships with USL League Two member clubs. Additionally, this position will lead the execution of a successful League Two season in partnership with League Two team members. This position will work closely with USL League Two leadership as well as work cross functionally with additional departments across all of USL HQ.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Forge strong relationships with each member club's leadership and primary points of contact.
  • Directly liaise with the designated club administrators on league operations issues.
  • Assist in the integration and onboarding of new franchises into the league.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clubs. Assist in the initial league scheduling and schedule change processes.
  • Assist in portions of the player registration process through the League's registration portal.
  • Coordinate referee assignments through the online US Soccer management portal, ensuring correct and timely assignments.
  • Oversee caution/ejection discipline tracking throughout the season.
  • Ensure that league minimum standards are met and maintained and assist clubs in building a path to fulfilling league standards where needed.
  • Lead the USL League Two Work Experience Program, overseeing task dissemination and training for the seasonal intern participants.
  • Assist in ensuring league deliverables are sent and received by clubs (Soccer Balls, Signage, Apparel, etc.).
  • Assist with post season reporting with clubs.
  • Assist with the coordination and collection of statistics for player talent identification.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in sport management, business administration or similar highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of league/club operations or sport management experience, preferably in the soccer industry.

Currently, USL HQ operates on a hybrid work model. From Monday to Thursday, team members gather in person to harness the power of face-to-face collaboration. Typical USL HQ hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm ET. Evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel may be necessary based on business demands.
