Job description

The Operations Supervisor candidate promotes lean behaviors across the organization while utilizing the problem-solving system. Candidate has knowledge of internal quality system and corresponding policies and procedures. Possesses knowledge of production operations while driving the production plan. Supervisor must be able to implement and sustain production metrics directly related to the company's KPI while making procedural or resource adjustment as necessary. Responsibilities include production planning, schedule attainment, and the ability to try storm production downtime for daily operations. Candidate has a high sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize accordingly.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Promotes Lean behaviors across the organization (includes leading and participating in Try storming, Brainstorming and other Lean related initiatives)
2. Applies Problem Solving Techniques and 5 WHY's analysis to address Non-Conformities, Correction reports, and Customer Complaints as well as Technical Challenges.
3. Ensures that Processing Operations comply to State and Federal Regulations and AATB Standards.
4. Oversees daily/weekly Operations by collaboration with Direct Reports while ensuring Schedule completion and driving cost reduction efforts.
5. Ensures that all Non-Conformances and/or Deviations are Reported to the Quality Team and that it is documented appropriately. Track to Completion in Collaboration with personnel assigned to the Investigation. Drive Root-Cause Analysis during this process.
6. Supports Training efforts for the Operations Team in Collaboration with Direct Reports.
7. Driven by a challenging sense of urgency for customer delivery while monitoring expense control, staff management, goods production, and value stream management in order to ensure that Operations run accordingly.
8. Coordinates with Supporting Teams During the Process of Product Transfer for Execution of Dry Runs at the Processing Stage.
9. Conducts Mid and End of Year reviews for Direct reports. Develop and Mentor Direct Reports by Creating and Tracking Impactful/Actionable Developmental Plans.
10. Creates and Track Performance Improvement Plans when needed.
11. Familiarizes with the Company's Financial Targets while Aligning Direct Report's metrics accordingly.
12. Uses Judgment to Identify, Troubleshoot and resolve Day-to-Day Technical Operations Issues.
13. Collaborates with Supporting Production Departments for the Sterile Processing and Environmental Cleaning daily Operations.
14. Contributes to the completion of Process Improvement Opportunities that have significant scope and impact to the organization.
15. Resourceful in Completing assigned Deadlines and can Multitask effectively.
16. Perform other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in science or related with a minimum of 2 years of relevant management experience or master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Tissue Banking experience Preferred.
Strong analytical, planning critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams.

Working Conditions
