Job description

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Senior Player Engagement Manager is the bridge between Aspyr and the millions of fans who cherish legendary IPs. This role will lead the global community vision for multiple properties from the early announcement phase through launch and long term live support. This individual serves as the definitive champion for our players within the studio and acts as the influential ambassador for Aspyr to the global gaming community.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community roadmap for AAA legacy titles and new releases across Discord, Reddit, X (Twitter), and emerging platforms
  • Build structured pipelines to gather qualitative player feedback and sentiment. Synthesize global community sentiment into high-impact, actionable intelligence that drives product innovation and elevates overall game quality
  • Partner with the marketing, product and creative teams to create engaging community first content, including Dev Diaries, AMAs, and Behind the Scenes looks at the remastering process
  • Identify and nurture relationships with super fans, creators, and lore experts to build a network of advocates for our franchises
  • Develop and execute transparent communication strategies for all game lifecycle releases, including patches, updates, and hotfixes, to foster and sustain player trust during critical launch windows
  • Serve as the lead liaison for community sentiment in sensitive scenarios, offering steady and tactical counsel to the leadership team
  • Collaborate with our Studio partners and internal Core Games teams to advocate for player interests and drive enhancements to the overall game experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years experience in Community Management or Social Media within the gaming industry (licensed IP experience a must)
  • Expert level knowledge of Discord, Reddit, and Steam Community Hubs
  • Proven experience managing community growth for a major launch or live service title
  • Familiarity with project management tools and the game development lifecycle
  • Extensive knowledge of the video game landscape, with specific knowledge of remasters and remakes
  • Ability to manage numerous AA and AAA projects simultaneously, while prioritizing high return work
  • Skilled in articulating community strategies and integrating stakeholder input
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to bolster global player engagement and cultivate a positive brand sentiment for various franchises
  • Proficiency in producing high-quality copy and written content across a variety of platforms and formats
