Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Serve as lead assistant women's soccer coach with specific coaching responsibilities assigned by the head coach; Attend practices, competitions, meetings, planning sessions, recruiting activities, and other essential soccer-related functions; Assist the head coach in the administration and management of the women's soccer program as assigned; Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes; Support the holistic development of student-athletes and contribute to a positive team culture aligned with the mission of Luther College; Demonstrate professionalism and engagement in professional development activities, including but not limited to staying current with coaching strategies, teaching techniques, recruiting trends, and NCAA Division III best practices; Adhere to the rules, policies, and regulations established by Luther College, the Midwest Conference, and the NCAA; Demonstrate a willingness to support the mission, philosophy, and goals of Luther College, NCAA Division III athletics, and the Midwest Conference; Assist with team travel coordination, game preparation, equipment organization, and other operational aspects of the program; Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach and/or Director of Athletics. Athletics Administrative and Event Operations Responsibilities Assist with athletics event management and game operations for home contests and special events; Support day-to-day operational needs of the athletics department; Assist with coordination and supervision of student workers and game day staff; Collaborate with coaches and athletics staff to support departmental initiatives and student-athlete experience efforts; Provide administrative and operational support for athletics programs and departmental functions as assigned; Contribute positively to a collaborative, team-oriented athletics department culture; Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred;
  • 1-3 years of successful high school or college soccer coaching experience preferred;
  • Experience with recruiting software, CRMs, and/or institutional enrollment systems preferred;
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the college;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented athletics environment.
