What does a player development manager do?

As a player development manager, there are opportunities in technology, gaming, and athletics, but most positions involve working in a casino or other gaming facility. In a casino, your responsibilities include resolving guest issues quickly by communicating clearly with them, ensuring staff members solve the problem properly, and offering guests complimentary services within management guidelines. You execute and manage strategies designed to support the best experience for each guest including an incentive or reward program and special promotions to increase customer acquisition. DRM provides the atmosphere, the flexibility and the opportunity for learning and growing by incorporating Arby's Core Values of Dream Big, Work Hard, Get it Done, Play Fair, Have Fun and Make a Difference, into our daily lives. DRM is committed to delivering a "Cut-Above" restaurant experience to our customers and a stimulating career environment for our employees.

PURPOSE: To effectively lead Restaurant Managers and Assistant Managers to provide exceptional guest service and grow sales and attain profit goals, working within the framework and expectations of DRM values and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales and profit performance by providing support and operational expertise. Conduct Daily Business Reviews on every restaurant call.
  • Ensure restaurants are 100% staffed on levels with quality, friendly teams who are scheduled effectively.
  • Increase sales by teaching, training, and coaching teams to provide outstanding Quality, Friendliness, Cleanliness, Accuracy, and Speed of Service. Conduct an AOR at each restaurant every quarter.
  • Ensure a bench of "A" players through the effective execution of all training and development programs and succession planning.
  • Attain District P&L Budget Plan. Ensure profitability of restaurants by reviewing weekly and periodic paperwork to ensure that all controls are in place and reported numbers are accurate.
  • Work lunch and dinner. Ensure that all restaurants are providing exceptional guest service through the use of Shift Leadership, Systems, and executing a District Manager approach to each restaurant.
  • Recruit and hire management to staff all restaurants, as well as to maintain a bench for future growth.
  • Ensure all marketing plans are executed, including proper installation of POP and menu board elements. Schedule and lead all new product training and follow up.
  • Provide leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude and commitment to DRM objectives.
  • Audit inventory at each restaurant one per quarter. Ensure that correct inventory levels are kept, and all equipment is maintained in excellent condition using approved FMT vendors.
  • Prepare, with the participation of General Managers, an annual forecast period, prior to beginning of each year, of sales and profits.

Candidates selected for the District Manager career path will be required to successfully complete DRM/Arby's operational training and demonstrate proficiency in restaurant operations before assuming responsibility for a district.
