Job description

Job Description Summary:
We are building a modern product organization inside one of the world's most iconic companies, one designed around empowered teams, meaningful outcomes, and products that customers love and the business depends on.
This work spans the digital experiences and systems that help customers, sellers, service teams, operators, and business leaders do their best work. As the organization grows, the platforms underneath those experiences matter more than ever: the shared services, data products, integrations, tools, and capabilities that help teams move faster, make better decisions, and build with confidence.
We are looking for a senior product leader who can shape that foundation at scale. Someone who sees platforms as products, knows how to simplify complexity, and can build the product talent and operating discipline required for a modern digital ecosystem.
If you want to help define how a large enterprise builds products in a fundamentally better way, we would love to meet you.
About the Role
The Senior Director of Product Management, Platformsleads the teams that create the reusable services, data foundations, integrations, and internal tools that power our digital ecosystem. These teams operate as true product teams: their customers are other product teams, engineers, sellers, service teams, marketers, operators, and business partners across the organization.
This leader sets the long-term platform vision and makes the important calls about what becomes shared, what stays team-owned, and what should be simplified or retired. They partner deeply with Engineering, Architecture, Data, Security, Design, and business leadership to build stable, scalable platforms that help teams innovate without unnecessary complexity.
They develop platform product managers who think in systems, understand technical constraints and business context, and take pride in building the foundations that elevate every product built on top of them.
What You Will Lead
Core Application Platforms: The platforms behind customer, sales, service, finance, and operational experiences. These should be modular, extensible, reliable, and easy for teams to build on with confidence.
Third-Party Platforms & Integrations: The strategy for how SaaS partners, vendor tools, data providers, and workflow systems connect into the broader ecosystem, with integration patterns clear enough that bringing on a new system does not become a one-off project every time.
Data Platforms & Shared Services: The data products, shared services, APIs, and decisioning capabilities that support consistent measurement, personalization, automation, operational insight, and AI-enabled experiences.
B2B Marketing Technology & Content Foundations: The segmentation, journey orchestration, personalization, content management, messaging, and engagement capabilities that help teams reach the right audiences with relevant, well-timed experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership, Vision, and Strategy
  • Develop platform product managers who can set product direction, build trust with technical partners, and make strong decisions in complex environments.
  • Establish a clear platform vision and the principles that guide what becomes shared, centralized, reused, retired, or team-owned.
  • Shape multi-year platform strategy and investment decisions with Engineering, Data, Architecture, Security, Design, and business leaders.
  • Ensure platform roadmaps are accountable to the leverage they create for other teams, not simply the volume of work delivered.
  • Help senior stakeholders understand how foundational platform work connects to customer experience, operational effectiveness, growth, and long-term scalability.
  • Foster a culture that values simplicity, reliability, thoughtful design, reuse, and strong technical partnership.

Platform, Data & Capability Stewardship
  • Stay close to the internal customers these platforms serve, including product teams and engineers.
  • Build the contracts, onboarding paths, documentation, and self-service patterns that make shared capabilities easier to discover, adopt, and trust.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture on reliability, security, performance, observability, scalability, and developer experience.
  • Consolidate redundant tools and one-off solutions where shared capability creates better outcomes, while knowing when team-specific needs should remain team-owned.
  • Define and monitor the metrics that matter, including adoption, reliability, internal customer satisfaction, data quality, developer experience, and product team enablement.
  • Make thoughtful build, buy, integrate, scale, simplify, and retire decisions, and bring stakeholders along with clear reasoning.

Key Qualifications
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including deep leadership experience with platform, data, technical, enterprise, infrastructure, or shared capability products.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree in business, engineering, design, or related field preferred
  • Proven ability to define platform strategy and translate it into clear, architecture-aware product direction across complex digital ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated record of developing strong product managers, not only managing roadmaps or delivery.
  • Strong partnership with Engineering, Architecture, Data, Security, Design, and business leaders, with the technical fluency to earn trust and shape better decisions.
  • Systems thinking and product judgment to create leverage across multiple products, teams, platforms, workflows, and stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to make complex technical work clear and compelling for technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Track record of helping teams move from project-based delivery toward durable product ownership, stronger product practices, and measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating in multi-product, multi-team digital ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with data platforms, shared services, APIs, workflow engines, or developer-facing tools.
  • Experience with B2B MarTech systems, segmentation engines, content management, or personalization tools.
  • Understanding of AI-driven automation, routing intelligence, or agentic platform capabilities.

Leadership Attributes
  • Strategic clarity & direction: Sets a clear long-term vision and makes plain what matters most, why it matters, and how platform work creates business value.
  • Builder of product talent & culture: Develops strong product managers and raises the bar for product craft across technical and platform teams, treating this as central to the role rather than a secondary trait.
  • Systems thinker: Sees the patterns across products, data, workflows, and teams, and knows where shared capability simplifies the ecosystem.
  • Strong technical partner: Earns the trust of Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Security through curiosity, judgment, and respect for technical reality.
  • Influence & change leadership: Moves a complex, relationship-driven environment forward with clarity, confidence, and humility.
  • Outcome-driven execution: Focuses teams on meaningful, measurable impact and ensures platform work improves speed, reliability, quality, and the ability of other teams to deliver.
