Redo

Job description

The Opportunity

The e-commerce ecosystem runs on platforms โ€” Shopify, BigCommerce, CommentSold, Salesforce Commerce, marketplaces, ERPs. Millions of sellers live on these platforms. And right now, most of them have no idea Redo exists. Thatโ€™s the opportunity.

Redo is a full-stack e-commerce platform spanning multiple product clouds: marketing, conversion, operations and reverse logistics. We serve DTC brands primarily on Shopify and Shopify Plus, with growing presence on BigCommerce, CommentSold, and Salesforce Commerce.

We need someone who can walk into a room with a platformโ€™s BD or product team, understand how their ecosystem works, and make the case for why Redoโ€™s product suite should be the default for every seller on that platform. This is not a โ€œmaintain relationshipsโ€ role, this is a โ€œgo build something that didnโ€™t exist beforeโ€ role.

Why This Role Exists Now

Partnership activity at Redo has grown organically across multiple teams. We want to build on this success, with dedicated focus on building one-to-many platform distribution motions and supporting our off-Shopify platform diversification with platform and strategic partners. This is one of the most important hires weโ€™ll make this year.

What Youโ€™ll OwnPlatform Partnerships Distribution

This is the core of the role. Youโ€™ll be the person who figures out how to get Redoโ€™s products embedded, featured, and distributed across the platforms where sellers already live.

  • Own the Shopify relationship end-to-end: app store positioning, co-marketing, early access to platform capabilities (checkout extensibility, Markets Pro), and Shopify Plus partner engagement

  • Lead Redoโ€™s platform diversification strategy: build relationships with CommentSold, BigCommerce, and Salesforce Commerce BD/product teams to unlock new distribution

  • Develop the playbook for getting Redo recommended, embedded, or certified within each platformโ€™s ecosystem

  • Drive platform-level distribution deals that move the needle on merchant acquisition at scale โ€” not one deal at a time, but one platform at a time

Strategic Capability Partnerships

Beyond platforms, youโ€™ll own the partnerships that extend Redoโ€™s product surface through integration rather than acquisition.

  • Manage and expand Redoโ€™s highest-value strategic partnerships

  • Identify and close new partnerships that fill product gaps or accelerate time-to-market across our seven product clouds

  • Negotiate partnership agreements, commercial terms, and co-sell/co-marketing commitments

  • Convert competitor partner relationships into Redo partnership relationships

Partnership Infrastructure

Youโ€™re building a function, not inheriting one. The systems, processes, and tooling are yours to create.

  • Build the partnership tech stack: evaluate and implement PRM tooling

  • Establish strategic partner engagement models, standard agreements, and measurement frameworks

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Corp Dev on partnerships with MA or investment dimensions

  • Collaborate with Product GMs to identify core integration partnerships that accelerate product roadmaps

  • Coordinate with the International team on cross-border partnership build-out

Who You Are

Youโ€™ve landed meaningful platform deals, driven distribution through partnerships, and know what it takes to get a product embedded across a marketplace or platform. Youโ€™re a builder, not a manager of existing relationships.

Required
  • 3+ years in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliancesย

  • Direct experience in the Shopify ecosystem, e-commerce SaaS, or adjacent commerce technology โ€” you know how platform ecosystems work from the inside

  • Track record of building partnership programs from scratch (0-to-1) and scaling them into measurable distribution channels

  • Experience managing both technology/product partnerships and revenue-generating GTM partnerships

  • History of structuring and closing complex, multi-stakeholder partner deals โ€” not just referral agreements

  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to tie every partnership to a revenue outcome

Preferred
  • Experience at a Shopify app company, Shopify Plus partner agency, or commerce platform vendor in a partnership role.

  • Familiarity with the returns/post-purchase ecosystem and the logistics/3PL landscape

  • International/cross-border commerce experience, particularly landed cost, customs, and cross-border returns

  • Experience implementing PRM tools and infrastructure

  • Background in carrier or logistics partnerships is a strong differentiator

  • The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

  • Builder mentality โ€” youโ€™re comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists. You donโ€™t need a playbook; you write it.

  • Executive presence โ€” youโ€™ll represent Redo to C-level counterparts at platforms, carriers, and technology partners. You need to command a room.

  • Data-driven โ€” you measure partnerships in pipeline dollars and merchant adoption, not meetings held or decks shared.

  • Bias to action โ€” Redo moves fast. Youโ€™ll be expected to close your first partnership deal within 60 days, not spend 90 days on strategy decks.

  • Low ego, high ownership โ€” youโ€™ll inherit a mix of existing relationships and greenfield opportunities. Some are messy. You clean them up and move forward.

What Success Looks LikeFirst 30 Days: Learn Map
  • Complete partner landscape audit: inventory every existing relationship, owner, status, and data source

  • Meet every internal stakeholder who touches partners

  • Establish a platform partnership strategy and clearly defined objectives

First 90 Days: Build Ship
  • Design and Implement AI Partnership Agents to support partnership build-out

  • Develop joint business plans for top platform and strategic partners

  • Close at least 2-3 new platform partnership or meaningful expansion of an existing

  • Establish measurement of partnership success

First 12 Months: Scale
  • Partner-sourced revenue reaches 10% of total new business closed-won

  • 4+ Tier 1 partnerships with active joint plans and executive sponsorship

  • At least one off-Shopify platform generating meaningful merchant pipeline through your partnerships

  • Recommendation on team expansion: additional partnership managers for vertical or geographic coverage

  • No partner reports uncoordinated outreach from multiple Redo contacts
