Summary:

Monitor the production process of multiple injection molding machines. Operate, shut-down, and start-up the mold equipment. Change molds and troubleshoot the injection molding process as necessary to meet quality requirements. Work to reduce scrap and increase molding output with enhanced technical training and development of associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot machine issues, minor hydraulic and electrical problems
  • Ability to discern molding issues from machinery or process issues
  • Record accurate production data necessary for tracking purposes
  • Develop corrective actions for machine/molding issues
  • Track downtime, quality performance and machine efficiency
  • Train personnel to improve technical capabilities and experience
  • Evaluate the quality of product form newly set-up machines
  • Monitor production process
  • Respond to reported machine/mold issues
  • Start-up and shut-down molding machines as necessary
  • Follow mold change procedures
  • Perform mold changes and color changes in a proficient manner
  • Communicate all changes and all important information to the Manager or Supervisor
  • Ensure all system performances are optimized and running safely.
  • Work with/relieve assembly line operators as needed to meet production requirements
  • Follow and enforce all Environment, Health and Safety, ISO, Food Safety and cGMP policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of injection molding setup experience, robots, manufacturing software and processing systems experience required
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Written Communication - Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Teamwork - Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
