A growing and well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at a production facility. This role will partner closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, improve cost visibility, and support operational decision-making



Responsibilities

  • Partner with plant leadership to analyze cost drivers, profitability, and operational performance
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Perform monthly close and variance analysis (labor, materials, overhead)
  • Maintain and enhance cost accounting systems and standard costing
  • Oversee inventory controls, transactions, and variance analysis
  • Support capital expenditure analysis and ROI evaluations
  • Develop cost estimates for new products and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing / cost accounting
  • Prior experience in a plant or operational finance environment
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
