We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operation and play a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about building strong teams, improving processes, and delivering exceptional results. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement. Through strong leadership and collaboration, the Plant Manager will help ensure operational efficiency, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and long-term business success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Managing and coordinating efficient daily site operations including production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and all other supporting functions. This position requires a hands-on approach, taking complete accountability for the development of plans and actions to increase productivity, assure required quality, and drive the development of a well-trained and thriving workforce. All of these must be maintained in a safe and legally compliant work environment.
The Plant Manager will establish and form a high-performance site team and get maximum efficiency out of TWE Nonwovens US production lines and other in-house processes with the objective to reducing overall costs and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position will provide direction to subordinate managers, offering professional expertise and will offer close monitoring performance to ensure that departmental and individual objectives are in alignment with the Company's overall goals and are achieved within scheduled timelines and budgets.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:
  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations, maintenance, quality, materials; including shipping/receiving to deliver on our commitments and customer's expectations
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintain expected quality standards
  • Effectively allocate, develop, and fully utilize appropriate resources to achieve superior results applying lean manufacturing methodology and principles
  • Develop, manage, and engage the development of talent through solid performance management and KPI utilization.
  • Strategy development and implementation that aligns to Company Values and Mission and provides a clear sense of direction with a results oriented focus.
  • Closely monitor departmental performance against KPIs to ensure progress is being made or triggers a need for corrective actions.
  • Leverage lean techniques to drive a performance culture of streamlined operating systems and reinforce a discipline of continuous improvement
  • Build and sustain trusting relationships with work team and foster a positive work environment to attract, retain, and develop site workforce.
  • Environmentally awareness, relentlessly collect and analyze data to manage plant carbon footprint
  • Respond to customer needs with plant visits, assisting in customer surveys and complaint resolution in support of quality.
  • Develop and work alongside maintenance to ensure a maintenance program is in place and help maintain machines in the department and understand their capabilities, manufacturer's recommended settings, etc.
  • Make a visual inspection of machinery for quality and production.
  • Keep machinery in condition for best performance and highest efficiency via preventive maintenance programs and maintenance performance.
  • Great organizational planning skills with proven ability to facilitate change.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and TS 16949 preferred

  • Identify opportunities to expand and enhance production capabilities, planning future capital projects to yield optimal returns.
  • Ensure the development of an effective and comprehensive preventive maintenance system.
  • Delegate authority to key supervisors in production, manage all functions involved and coordinate effective cooperation of all departments.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development, as well as, conducting performance assessments with subordinate managers.
  • Develop and control budgets, time schedules, activity plans and implement cost effective systems to control capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and KPI/goal achievement. Determine areas of need to cost reduction and program improvement
  • Monitor third party business and suppliers to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively providing the needed services and supplies within budgetary limits.
  • Ensure compliance to all health and safety, including supplies or equipment for emergency response.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements, company safety and other policies, as well as, local and state health and safety regulations.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray TWE Nonwovens in a positive manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 8+ years proven work experience as a Plant Manager, automotive customer focus a must. Experience with P&L responsibilities a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field. Master's Degree a plus
Good analytical skills with ability to interpret technical information in mathematical and/or narrative form.
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation) scientific and statistical methods, logical though process
Familiarity with nonwovens standard equipment and technical expertise as well as Lean manufacturing principles.
Demonstrated experience in developing, influencing, and implementing world-class manufacturing tools, and ability to successfully execute significant change initiatives.
