Job description

Overview
Responsible for estimating type 3 and type 5 construction wood frame multi-story buildings. Responsible for preparing accurate estimates, reviewing project plans, and supporting the bidding process for multi-family and commercial projects. Estimators must be very detailed orientated, patient, and have experience estimating manually and / or with approved software (Planswift or similar).
Responsibilities
  • Review plans, specifications, and project scope
  • Create quality / accraute material lists from approved plans
  • Collect and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Assist with bid submissions and proposals
  • Identify risks and cost-saving opportunities
  • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams
  • Maintain estimate records and ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications
  • Experience in construction estimating (multi-family/commercial preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficient in estimating software (Planswift or similar) and Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and time management skills
