Seeking a Tax Planning Manager / CPA to join a well-established firm serving closely held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals. Responsibilities
  • Provide tax advisory services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
  • Deliver high-quality tax planning and advisory services while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Maintain proactive client communication, manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and meet established deadlines.
  • Develop and implement innovative tax strategies to optimize personal, estate, and business tax efficiencies.
  • Perform ongoing analysis of clients' financial positions and tax projections, presenting recommendations during quarterly planning meetings.
  • Analyze financial statements, identify key business indicators, and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Consult with clients to improve accounting processes where appropriate.
  • Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries and represent clients in tax-related matters.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, tax preparation, and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, partnerships, corporations, and S-corporations.
  • Strong knowledge of individual, estate, partnership, and business tax forms.
  • Experience researching, recommending, and implementing innovative tax-saving strategies.
  • Strong analytical, financial statement analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and tax software such as Lacerte or comparable platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field preferred.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
