About the Role
The Production Planner is responsible for all scheduling and planning activities relating to new and existing product lines across their assigned products. The primary responsibilities of this role include assessing customer requirements, driving material, scheduling production, and managing MRP to ensure customer orders are executed in a timely manner.
What You'll Do
  • Developing and maintaining production schedules: Based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and resource availability.
  • Ensure delivery of orders by interpreting engineering drawings, processing orders accurately in our MRP system, setting up production routers, and
  • assessing material availability.
  • Proactively implement effective strategies to manage workload, mitigate risk, and resolve processing issues as they arise.
  • Managing inventory levels: Collaborating with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability, minimizing shortages and excesses.
  • Roll production cost for new products in coordination with manufacturing and procurement requirements.
  • Analyze work order variances by identifying root causes, developing countermeasures, and scaling the effectiveness of those countermeasures.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional team members.
  • Support continuous improvement activities for planning and production relating to assigned product lines.
  • Position will conduct complex supply chain optimization proposal to improve schedules, operations and reduce cost.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business operations, logistics or related field
  • 5-10 yrs experience in manufacturing and production control environments
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to satisfy AFSI ITAR requirements.
  • Strong business acumen and etiquette
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in face pace manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and requirements related to manufacturing (i.e. AS9100, ISO9100, Lean, Six Sigma or similar).
  • Ability to implement inventory control methods and techniques.
  • Excellent PC skills related to MS Office applications, ERPs, business intelligence tools and data warehouse systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to leadership
  • Must work well with various personalities in a customer centric environment and commit to continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business operations, logistics or related field
  • 5-10 yrs experience in manufacturing and production control environments
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to satisfy AFSI ITAR requirements.
