Job description

As an Associate Planner, you will support the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) and be the focal point for the planning process in Demand Planning and/or Supply Planning related tasks. You will assist in analysis to lead and inform cross-functional decisions related to tracking key performance indicators and inputs into supply chain decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Demand and/or Supply Planning processes.
  • Assist in gathering required inputs to measure and improve forecast accuracy metrics.
  • Provide assistance in conducting operational reviews with key business leaders in Commercial, Category Management, Sourcing, and Inventory to serve as Demand and/or Supply inputs for Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE).
  • Facilitate the analysis to support mid to long-range Demand and/or Supply Planning scenarios.
  • Participate in internal and cross-functional business process and analytics continuous improvement efforts and/or projects.
  • Provide support in enabling an effective product lifecycle management and portfolio rationalization processes.
  • Assist in resolving Demand and/or Supply exceptions for the assigned items or location(s).
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree (U.S.)/College Diploma (Canada) required.
  • Bachelor's Degree - Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations - Blue Yonder (JDA) Functional, Technical, or other leading Advanced Planning System (APS); APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in analyzing complex data, identifying patterns and analysis techniques to develop conclusions and insights that aid in decision making processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • 1-2 years working knowledge of SAP/Oracle, Blue Yonder (JDA) or other similar APS and Business Intelligence (BI) Tools - MS Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, etc. 
  • 1-2 years insight and experience with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems, particularly relate to the Demand and/or Supply Planning processes. Understanding of how data is structured within the systems and ability to source the information as well as input data for downstream use.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
