Job description

Courthouse Pizzeria is in search of an experienced restaurant leader. Our Shift Lead supervises the team and oversees daily operations during their shift, focusing on customer service, product quality, and staff training. Key duties include assigning tasks, managing food costs and waste, handling cash and deposits, resolving guest complaints, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and performing various operational tasks as needed. The role often serves as a stepping stone for advancement within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Team Supervision & Training: Guide and motivate the crew, assign daily tasks, provide feedback, and assist in training new hires.
  • Customer Service: Ensure an excellent guest experience by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints professionally, and upholding service standards.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead opening and closing procedures, manage the line, delegate tasks, and ensure efficient workflow during the shift.
  • Product & Food Safety: Monitor and enforce product quality standards, oversee food preparation, and ensure adherence to all food safety and sanitation policies.
  • Financial Management: Manage and control food costs, labor, and waste during the shift, and accurately handle cash transactions and deposits.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, inspect equipment, and report any needs for repair or replacement.
  • Sales & Promotions: Support local marketing efforts, promote sales, and effectively communicate product knowledge and in-store promotions to the team.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Customer service orientation with a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic business math and computer skills for POS systems.
