Pinterest's Business Marketing team is seeking a highly operational Director, Partner Marketing to lead advertiser marketing via Pinterest's third-party partnerships, develop comarketing strategies with key partners and ultimately contribute to Pinterest's revenue goals. This role is highly operational in nature, with a strong focus on designing a growing organization, aligning with cross-functional partners on roles, responsibilities, and ways of working, and partnering with senior leadership to further develop Pinterest's partner marketing capability. You will provide senior leadership for a small and mighty team already in place, and as a player-coach, you will lead key partner marketing workstreams while simultaneously setting the vision, managing resources, and developing the capabilities of your team.

What you'll do:

  • Vision and Strategy: Architect a long-term vision for the partner marketing function at Pinterest in partnership with XFN teams.
  • Player-Coach Execution: Roll up your sleeves to lead key partner marketing workstreams, including events, webinars and content marketing campaigns to increase consideration for Pinterest's advertising solutions and ultimately drive revenue.
  • Team Leadership and Talent Development: Create a culture that emphasizes constructive feedback, ongoing learning and development, and reinforces its value to the organization.
  • Operational Rigor and Accountability: Build tracking mechanisms that create an environment of accountability for the working team's progression. Integrate velocity within the function by mobilizing the organization, removing obstacles, and enabling teams to focus on achieving high-quality results for the most important initiatives.
  • Organizational Design and Capability Building: Project and plan for resourcing needs and recruit where necessary to deliver results and meet functional short-term and long-term strategic goals. Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging talent needs of a function.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment and Influencing: Collaborate and influence senior-level cross-functional partners on complex business challenges. Lead the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and plans for projects to identify relevant stakeholders and create mutually supportive working relationships.
  • AI-Powered Marketing Execution: Leverage AI tools to accelerate the development of partner marketing assets, including event materials, webinar content, and co-marketing campaigns. Act as an AI champion within the team by proactively testing and adopting emerging tools that drive efficiency, reduce production timelines, and free up bandwidth for higher-order strategic work.
  • Data-Driven Optimization Through AI: Utilize AI-assisted analytics and reporting tools to surface insights on partner marketing performance, identify trends across campaigns and channels, and make faster, smarter decisions about where to invest resources. Build a team culture that treats AI as a core working partner in the planning and measurement process.

What we're looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in business marketing, with at least 7 years of experience specifically in a partner marketing leadership role, ideally at a similar or competitive platform to Pinterest.We are looking for someone with direct experience marketing to advertisers via partners in the campaign management, measurement, commerce and programmatic spaces.
  • Operational and Leadership Mindset: Proven experience building program functions, growing teams and creating strategy through ambiguity.
  • Mastery in Influencing: Demonstrates mastery in changing or affecting the actions, behaviors, or perspectives of others without directly forcing those changes to happen.
  • Mature Decision Quality: Moves the function forward through a mature decision-making process by gathering and circulating data with key partners, weighing alternatives explicitly, and considering risks. Willingly makes tough decisions and difficult trade-offs on behalf of the business.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Navigates uncertain situations and provides direction and frameworks to the function that minimize delay. Effectively manages the stress that accompanies transitions and change and helps others adapt productively.
  • Values Differences: Sponsors and mentors people from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. Fosters a culture that encourages and supports inclusion and belonging, and applies understanding of differences to create value for the function.
  • AI Fluency and Adaptability: Demonstrated comfort and curiosity working with AI tools in a marketing context, with a proactive mindset toward exploring how emerging technologies can improve team output, campaign performance, and operational workflows. Ability to coach and inspire a team to embrace AI as a collaborative partner rather than a replacement, fostering a culture of continuous experimentation and innovation.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
