Full-Time | Exempt | On-Site | Reports to Regional Director of Operations
ABOUT BEACHSIDE RESORT
Located at 610 West Beach Boulevard, just steps across the street from Gulf Shores Beach, Beachside Resort is a 97-room, locally-loved beachfront hotel known for its unique 3rd-floor pool deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, complimentary continental breakfast, and warm, welcoming "beachside living" vibe. We're minutes from Gulf State Park, Waterville USA and walking distance to some of Gulf Shores' favorite local spots. Guests come back year after year for the friendly service and easy beach access, and we're looking for a General Manager who will protect and grow that reputation.
We're searching for an experienced, hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead every aspect of resort operations, from front desk and housekeeping to guest services, revenue performance, and team culture. This is a rare opportunity for a driven hospitality leader to run a beachfront property on Alabama's Gulf Coast, one of the fastest-growing coastal tourism markets in the country, and put their fingerprint on a resort guests already love.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operations & Guest Experience
  • Oversee day-to-day resort operations across Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage
  • Ensure brand standards, cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across the property
  • Deliver a consistent, memorable guest experience and resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • Champion a strong guest satisfaction culture that turns first-time visitors into repeat guests

Financial & Revenue Performance
  • Own full property-level P&L accountability, budgeting, and cost control
  • Manage payroll, labor efficiency, and operating expenses to maximize NOI
  • Partner with sales and revenue management to execute pricing and revenue strategies
  • Track and act on occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and local competitive set performance

Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop a motivated, cross-functional hotel team
  • Build accountability, teamwork, and a service-first culture across every department
  • Lead by example with a hands-on, on-the-floor leadership style

Property & Asset Management
  • Maintain the resort's appearance, upkeep, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Manage vendor relationships, inventory control, and protection of company assets
  • Prepare and submit accurate, on-time operational and financial reports

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 2-3+ years of hotel or resort operations experience, including supervisory or management responsibility
  • Strong working knowledge of front desk operations, housekeeping, and hotel service standards
  • Track record managing budgets, controlling costs, and improving operational efficiency
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with lean staffing models
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as the resort schedule demands

PREFERRED (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Experience with branded or limited-service hotels and resorts
  • Familiarity with hotel PMS systems and performance reporting tools
