Pillar Properties has an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician I to join our team at The Meyden, our beautiful property in Bellevue, WA!

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for assisting in the physical upkeep and maintenance of both the interior and exterior building(s) and surrounding property.

What You'll Do:
  • Maintain all apartments and common areas with preventative maintenance as the goal
  • Complete all written work orders assigned in a timely manner
  • Assist with plumbing (e.g., sinks, toilets, and bathtubs)
  • Assist with minor electrical work within units and in common areas (e.g., light switches, wall outlets, garbage disposals, etc.)
  • Paint apartments and majority of common areas
  • Assist with training and development of safety procedures and hazard communications
  • Respond to all community emergencies as requested
  • Travel as assigned between local properties, if applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with residents, employees, and vendors
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with regular and timely attendance
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Basic prep and painting abilities
  • Results-driven focus and approach
  • Strong customer services skills
  • Adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong sense of integrity and ethics

Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 90 lbs.), pushing/pulling, and other physical activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Compensation
