Job Title: Pickleball Instructor/Clinic Leader
Location: Pickle Spot Indoor Courts- Orange, CT
Department: Operations
Position Type: Full-Time Opportunity

Pickle Spot is a fun and fast paced pickleball venue offering indoor courts for players of all skill levels and ages!
We offer a great SPOT to play and gather, every day and for special events. We have food, drink and partner with local businesses and food trucks for an array of options for our customers!
Our goal is to create a welcoming and enjoyable place where customers can have a great time on and off the courts and we want team members to join us that share the same goals!
Job Description:
As a Pickleball Instructor/Pro at Pickle Spot Indoor Courts, you will teach private and semi-private lessons, camps, clinics, monitor open play, assist with new member orientations and clinics and specialty classes as lead Pickle Spot members and guests to learn and develop their games. We are looking for instructors/pros and clinic leaders that are dedicated to delivering a great experience for all members and guests at our establishment. You will work alongside other team members and instructors and ensure a welcoming environment, provide excellent customer service, and facilitate revenue growth through pickleball instruction and clinics and other revenue streams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible and effective at maintaining a welcoming, safe, and positive SPOT for members, guests and staff to work and play!
  • Provide top of the line member and guest experience and lead by example for team members in sales, service and attitude
  • To create and deepen relationships with guests and members we know and do not yet know, that will add value to their membership, enhance their sense of belonging and sense of community within the club.
  • Aligned on revenue growth and profitability through membership maintenance and growth, sales, events and forward-thinking opportunities.
  • Teach lessons, camps, clinics, practices, new member orientations, etc. as scheduled, following curriculums, lesson plans and teaching protocols as applicable
  • Build and maintain an active schedule of private lessons, scheduling lesson times through Pickle Spot Court software with members and guests
  • Be ready to go on and off court exactly on time, balls are removed after each instructional period and ready to welcome the next reservation or clinic/instruction
  • Follow club court reservation policies and Pickle Spot Software for full process of booking and completing lessons and all instruction
  • Work closely with Head Pro and Management team to plan and collaborate on schedule needs to meet both instruction demands and align with instructor/pro skills. Director to ensure proper payment is made for all lessons and clinics
  • Embody a career path mindset and are aligned for your growth alongside Pickle Spot Indoor Court growth and understand that the undertaking of additional duties or assignments not mentioned in specifics are within the overall scope of this position

Physical Demands:
As an employee at Pickle Spot Indoor Courts, you may have prolonged periods of standing, bending, reaching and much be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Please note that the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Ability to demonstrate each pickleball stroke and skill proficiently; Provide Pickleball certification for instruction and minimum skill level of 4.5+; light equipment set up and take down and ability to project voice across courts on a sustained basis. Express a positive and welcoming attitude and work as a team with a goal of helping members and guests feel like they are in the best SPOT for them and for you and fellow teammates as well!
