Job description

Jacob Hadjigeorgis and the team at Pickle Hospitality opened their second unique restaurant in the Upper West side in December 2016. The restaurant, Maison Pickle, is a classic American eatery built around imaginative cocktails and French Dip sandwiches; an iconic American roast-beef sandwich first invented in Los Angeles made on fresh, in-house baked bread served with au jus sauce. The restaurant serves fine wines, artisanal beers, and desserts made from an in-house pastry department.
We are looking for experienced hosts/hostesses to join our dynamic and growing team.

Job Description
Candidates should be experienced hosts and/or hostesses who are friendly, enthusiastic and great team players. As the greeter you are the first introduction to Maison Pickle so it is important to be outgoing, polite and respectful.
- Works to orchestrate a "Maison Pickle" experience-premium yet comfortable and charming
- Must possess a welcoming approach and warm smile.
- Main responsibility is to interact with and seat people while managing reservations and table management utilizing Resy. You are an agent to our guests.
- Balancing guest needs with restaurant guidelines. Be savvy of assessing situations (ensuring they do not "escalate")
- Always maintain the quality of appearance of front of restaurant, wait list, reservations, and upkeep of menu.
- Must be familiar with our menus and have experience with Toast for in house dining and take out orders, and confirm the takeout order is correct
- Other skills: Good multi-tasker, patience, communicator (good eye contact)
- Dress code-stylish but professionally appropriate. No shorts. No words or graphics on clothing.
- Flexible schedule and available to work weekends and holidays
