MARKETING | MAKING THINGS BETTER BY MAKING BETTER THINGS.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Marketing matters here at Lakeshirts and visuals are at the heart of how we tell our story. From product photography to scroll-stopping content, we use imagery, design, and emerging tools like AI to show why Life's Better in a T-Shirt.
We're looking for someone with a background in graphic design and photo editing to join our team as a Marketing Designer & Image Specialist that helps create, refine, and elevate our visual content across channels. A core part of this role is ensuring our product imagery is consistently high quality and on brand, from precise image clipping to accurate color correction that brings our products to life.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in the details and thrives in both execution and creation. Throughout the year, the role will flex based on business needs. During key seasons the focus will be on high volume image production and image team support, which is the primary focus, and at other times it will shift toward broader content creation. We are also actively exploring how AI can enhance our workflows, and this role will help push that forward.
You'll work across marketing channels which may including email, catalogs, sales tools, socials and more. Helping turn great products into compelling visual stories that support engagement and sales. This role partners with the broader marketing team to create marketing materials for the broader organization. If you love creating, improving, and bringing ideas to life, hop on the t-shirt train. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
Onsite at our headquarters in Detroit Lakes
Pay: $17-$18.50/hr
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS | Create + Execute+ Elevate
Photography + Image Support
  • Own the preparation and execution support of photoshoots, including garment prep, product coordination, and prop organization to ensure efficient and high-quality output
  • Execute precise image clipping, retouching, and color correction to maintain accurate, consistent product imagery
  • Support and contribute to product photography and editing with a focus on lighting, color accuracy, and consistency
  • Export, organization, and maintenance of image and video assets following established systems and standards
  • Maintain and update assets within garment and image management systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Partner closely with the Marketing Image Manager and broader marketing team to ensure smooth workflows from shoot preparation through final asset delivery

Marketing Material Creation
  • Ensure effective, branded, marketing materials in print, digitally, and beyond through coordination, analysis and review. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
    • Catalogs and flyers
    • Digital assets (web pages, web images, etc.)
    • Email marketing
    • Rep sell tools- fliers, sourcebooks, digital information
    • Postcards/Thank you cards/Newsletters
    • Advertising- sales-related ads, billboards, specialty signage projects, etc.
    • Employee marketing- internal plant signage, t-shirt gifts, and other various deliverables based on company needs
  • Ensure line catalogs are produced effectively and on time to support sales efforts
  • Work with and take direction from Project Manager and Creative Directors to appropriately configure catalogs
  • Design layout of catalogs
    • Organize completion of catalogs to include page set up and proofing
    • Work with Project Manager on delivery, timelines, and proofing when necessary
  • Work closely with other Marketing resources and division Sales Managers to coordinate trade show booth designs, layout and miscellaneous signage requests
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing and other departments to utilize company resources to implement brand and marketing strategies
  • Execute standardization of internal/external look and feel (logos, fonts, hangtags, etc.) to guide consistency throughout all divisions, marketing and communications

Workflow Improvement & AI Integration
  • Explore and apply AI tools to improve content creation workflows, efficiency, and output quality
  • Identify opportunities to streamline image production and content processes through new tools or approaches
  • Contribute ideas that expand the team's creative capabilities and overall content output
  • Adapt focus based on seasonal business needs, shifting between high-volume image production and broader content creation and creative support

QUALIFICATIONS | Detailed-Oriented Creator + Strong Visual Instincts
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Visual Arts, Marketing, or related field, or 1-3 years of experience in a professional visual content, photography, or production-focused role
  • Strong proficiency in image editing, including image clipping and accurate color correction with a high attention to detail
  • Experience or interest in creating content for social platforms, with an understanding of visual trends
  • Creative capability in a variety of media such as photography, video, graphic design, and/or AI-driven content creation
  • Interest in exploring and applying AI tools to improve content creation workflows and output
  • Strong creative eye for color, composition, perspective, and layout
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed asset workflows
  • Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to assist Marketing Image Manager and the marketing team in a range of capacities
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, Trello, Asana, or similar is a plus
  • Ability to contribute to and thrive within a collaborative, team-oriented culture
