The Senior Photo Editor / Digital Photography Leadis responsible forshaping and executing a modern, digital-first photography strategy across film titles. This role oversees all photography-from production through release-while evolving the studio's photo output to meet the demands of social platforms, digital media, and emerging visual culture. The ideal candidate brings strong editorial judgment, deep photography and post-productionexpertise, and a forward-looking understanding of how imagery performs in social and digital spaces.

This is an IATSE Local 600 Publicist Guild position covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as theglobal lead for photography and image strategyacross assigned titles, working closely with PR, marketing, franchise, and international teams

  • Manage studio photography on social media sites and experience in this arena

  • Develop and executephoto strategies and timelinesthat prioritize digital, social, and press needs from first look through home entertainment

  • Edit, curate, and distribute imageryacross global platforms, ensuringtimelydelivery of approved assets to domestic and international markets

  • Come with strong relationship with social/upcoming photographers, leaning into adigital- and social-native approach,optimizingworkflows, formats, and visual storytelling for modern platforms

  • Overseepublicity shoots, unit photography, premieres, andspecial events, including art direction, photographer oversight, and final imageselection

  • Managetalent and filmmaker photo approvalsin collaboration with publicists and coordinators

  • Overseeimage request systems (domestic & international), special image requests, and press deadlines

  • Superviseimage distribution platforms and assetpipelines, with a strong understanding of the Getty platform.

  • Manage stills and photography budgets in alignment with comparable film campaigns

  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensureconsistent visual standards and brand alignmentacross all imagery

  • Support awards campaigns and annual preview materials with curated photography assets

Digital & Social Leadership (Core Focus)

  • Drive adigital-first photography mindset, ensuring imagery isoptimizedfor social platforms, online press, and emerging media formats

  • Bring strongsocial media photographyexpertise, understanding how images perform across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X, and evolving channels

  • Maintainrelationships with up-and-coming social, editorial, and culturally relevant photographers, introducing fresh visual voices into studio campaigns

  • Identifynew trendsindigital photography, visual storytelling, and social aesthetics, and apply them strategically to film publicity

  • Act as a key creative voice in evolving how the studio visuallyrepresentsits films in the digital landscape

Qualifications:

  • Minimum5+ years of photo editing experience, ideally within film, entertainment, media, or a related creative industry

  • AdvancedproficiencyinAdobe Creative Cloud(Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)

  • Strong editorial eye with the ability to curate images forpress, digital, and social impact

  • Proven ability tomanage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholderssimultaneously

  • Deep understanding ofpublicity, marketing, and talent-driven photography workflows

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working across creative, marketing, and international teams

  • Passion for photography culture, emerging photographers, and evolving digital platforms

The pay rate for this role in Burbank, CA is $60.6581 per hour.
