Qualifications
โ€ข Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing
โ€ข Minimum of 3 years in clinical leadership position
โ€ข Good technology skills and experience with basic business software
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Knowledge of EMR systems or ability to adopt with sufficient orientation
โ€ข Knowledge of SNF state specific regulations and guidelines
  • unincumbered Nebraska License

Responsibilities
โ€ข Position Summary: Regional Nurse Consultants (RNCs) will consult with facilities in all facets of clinical care through medical record review, on site observation, and phone consultation and will provide consultant services consistent with established standards of practice and federal and state requirements
โ€ข Consult with facility on an as needed basis through visits, phone calls, off site record review and response to requests from facility leadership
โ€ข Provide consultation during unusual or serious events
โ€ข Provide on site consultation as needed during regulatory surveys and during the plan of correction period
โ€ข Consult with facility as needed on topics such as program development, physician recruitment, referral relationships and requirements, five star ratings, competency evaluation and staff education needs
โ€ข Perform peer/mock surveys as needed prior to regulatory survey window and provide consultation
