Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Process, underwrite, and close loans for borrowers applying to PHFA for home repair programs.
  • Communicate by phone and email with loan applicants to explain how to borrow money from PHFA.
  • Develop an electronic file, from a checklist, showing that the loan meets PHFA lending requirements, that it will help the borrower with their home maintenance issues, and that it is likely to be repaid.
  • Accurately request disbursements of loan proceeds.

Requirements:

  • Compassion for people who may be facing challenges keeping a roof over their head.
  • Basic knowledge of mortgages, including mortgage terminology. Comfortable with Microsoft Office WORD, OUTLOOK, and basic EXCEL.
  • Organized, detail oriented, and a clear speaker and writer.
  • Accurate when doing calculations using basic Excel.
  • Prior experience in a professional, office environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma. Must have 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
