Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with borrowers, housing counselors, and PHFA employees
Maintain an auto queue of Non-FHA accounts that are 60-99+ days delinquent; make outgoing calls and take incoming calls through a designated phone queue - minimum requirement of 75 calls per day. Also send letters and emails encouraging the borrower to contact PHFA
Verify that the 45 day letter and Intention to Foreclose letters were sent to all necessary parties
Complete required documents when a borrower applies for Hemap assistance and correspond with housing counselors as needed
Review the DLQV (NSF) queue daily and contact borrowers as needed
Prepare and upload information to our attorney to begin the foreclosure process
Identify problems and make sound recommendations for how to resolve as well as present ideas for preventing future recurrences
Train and mentor Home Retention Specialist I staff members
High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree or higher preferred
At least one year of experience in the mortgage or home retention industry preferred
Maintain a neat and organized work area
Must perform all above duties accurately and efficiently and be capable of making independent decisions using sound judgment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with borrowers
Must have the ability to be firm yet professional when necessary
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must have a team mentality
Punctuality and attendance is imperative
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
Must work one (1) evening per week (Monday through Thursday - work hours that day are from 10:30 am - 7 pm)
