Job Description:
The Mechanic is responsible for assuring that the packaging line is set up and operates properly, is maintained, and does so in a safe and efficient manner. They are responsible for size changeovers, optimizing the machine, and troubleshooting. In addition, they are responsible for general maintenance and repairs (basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry), equipment installation, and participating with training new operators.
Work under general supervision of Packaging Supervisor following company policies and ensuring compliance with cGMP.
Immediate, Full-time, Monday thru Friday, Occasional overtime and Saturday
2nd shift: 2:30 pm to 11:00 m
Benefits: Start after 30 days

Qualifications/ Skills/ Abilities/Strengths:
Prior experience operating, maintaining, repairing machinery preferred.
Familiarity with hand tools
Familiarity with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical, Mechanical Systems (Gearboxes, Transfer cases, conveyors, drives)
Minimally High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic math skills, English reading and writing
Requires attention to detail and a desire for ensuring a high quality product
Requirements:
Ability to lift 30 pounds to load machine. Fast Paced, On feet throughout the shift.
